Symptoms of Lung Cancer

Symptoms and signs of lung cancer may include:

  • New cough or changes in an existing cough
  • Coughing up blood
  • Breathlessness
  • Voice hoarseness
  • Pain in the chest
  • Unresolved chest infection

Symptoms of advanced lung cancer may include:

  • Tiredness
  • Extreme shortness of breath
  • Difficulty swallowing /hoarseness
  • Coughing or spitting up blood
  • Weight loss/loss of appetite
  • Pain in other body sites e.g. spine or hips
