Hope and Light Lung Cancer Support Group – Brisbane QLD

Lung Foundation Australia is piloting a Hope and Light Lung Cancer Support Group to provide an informal environment where people can share information, support one another and discuss ways to cope with the challenges of living with lung cancer.

When: the last Friday of each month from 10.30am to 12.00pm

2017 dates – Friday 28th July, Friday 25th August, Friday 29th September, Friday 27th October and Friday 24th November

The support group will provide an opportunity to share experiences and feelings with other who are going through similar experiences. The group will be facilitated by Lung Foundation Australia’s Lung Cancer Support Nurse, Claire Mulvihill with support from Marilyn Nelson who has been living with lung cancer for over three years.

Sydney Adventist Hospital Lung cancer Support Group

This lung cancer support group of patients, carers and family members meets fortnightly every alternate Thursday from 10am – 12noon in the Cancer Support Centre at Jacaranda Lodge.

Canberra Cancer of the Lung and Mesothelioma Support Group

This group meets on the third Tuesday of each month from 10am to 12pm at the Canberra Region Cancer Centre at Canberra Hospital.

Love and Light Lung Cancer Support Group – Melbourne VIC

The Love and Light Lung cancer support group meets on the 4th Wednesday of each month at 10.30 am in Room 3A at The Olivia Newton-John Cancer & Wellness Centre, 145 Studley Rd, Heidelberg.   All patients, carers, family members and supporters are welcome. Love and Light Chat meetings are a new initiative of the group, and aims to provide patients and their carers with the opportunity to enjoy an informal chat away from the hospital at the local Cafe Georgia, 167 Upper Heidelberg Rd, Ivanhoe on the second Thursday of each month.

Lung Cancer Central Support Group – Melbourne VIC

Lung Cancer Central is a support/ catch up group, specifically for people living with lung cancer or who have had lung cancer. The group is held on the third Wednesday of the month and start from 11am. It is held in a private home in Ivanhoe which is quiet and relaxing.
